J.F. Allen Company completes the North Central West Virginia Runway Extension and Runway Area Safety Improvements project. This includes extending the runway 800 feet and adding numerous safety features to the airport. The paving portion included a total of 22,000 tons of Hot Mix Asphalt, 240,000 square feet of pavement markings and 7,000 linear feet of milling (existing runway surface). Impressively, the asphalt division produced and paved over 16,000 tons of the Hot Mix Asphalt over a 3 day period, which included the milling and pavement marking operations as well.
J.F. Allen Company completed three “park and rides”, including the Goshen Road Park and Ride as shown here. Other Park and Ride improvements include an extension of the Saltwell Exit Park and Ride, and the Sabraton Exit Park and Ride.

J.F. Allen Company paves the parking lot for the new Waco Center at Glenville State University. The Waco Center is home to the Glenville State men’s and women’s basketball teams, along with the volleyball team. In addition, the facility is home to a 24 hour Medical Center and classrooms for the Glenville State College School of Natural Resources.
